Personalized Ticket Art

Hi, everyone!  I've been MIA for a few days because my cousin got married this weekend.  The wedding was beautiful!  While I was preparing for the wedding this week, I made her a piece of art for her new apartment.  Her mom gave me a list of interests that she and her husband-to-be share, and the main one was a love for movies.  This is the art I came up with based on that!

The art was relatively easy to make.  I found a picture of a ticket to guide me using Google images.  I used a ruler to draw a rectangle and the border on the inside of the ticket.  I traced around a cup for the half-circle on the edges, and I just free-handed the jagged edge.  I painted inside the lines I created.  I used my Silhouette to create a stencil for all the numbers and letters.  Her new last name is Price, hence the name of the cinema, and the numbers on the ticket create her wedding date!!!  I used tape to create a stencil for the orange lines.  I painted using my stencils, and traced around the lines of the ticket with a marker.  Then I was finished!
My cousin loved the art!  I'm so happy she did.  And I'm glad I got the chance to create something personalized for her as she embarks on a brand new stage in her life! :)
