DIY Paper Flower Planner Clips

Hey, y'all!  Are you into the whole planner craze?  I want to be, but I struggle with organization quite often.  What can I say?  It's just not my strong-suit.  But I do love Bible journaling as I'm sure you know (especially if you follow me on Instagram).  I love that lots of little bits and bobs that are used by planner fanatics can be used in Bible journaling as well.  My favorite?  Planner clips!  I use planner clips in my planner and in my journaling Bible.  I recently made some really fun paper flower planner clips, and I want to show you how you can quickly and easily make some for yourself.

I love that the clippies are three dimensional and that they have pretty little pearls and gems in the center.  Read on for the full tutorial...
To make these planner clips, you'll need a few supplies:

The first step to making the clips is cutting the flower parts.  To do so, put one of the standard size cutting pads atop the extended multipurpose platform.  Place the flower thinlits on top of that.  Cover with paper.  Place another standard size cutting pad on top of that and roll the "Sizzix sandwich" through your Sizzix BIGkick.
Use a die pick to remove the paper flower pieces from the thinlits.  Cut as many flower parts as needed to create a full flower.  (The cool thing about using the Sizzix paper is that not only is it the correct size to roll through your machine, it's also patterned on both sides.)  To give the flower petals dimension, curl them over the edge of the die pick.
Layer the flower parts until you create a pretty, full flower.  Thread a decorative brad through the middle of the paper flower stack and bend the back to secure.  To assemble the clips, put a glob of hot glue on the back of the flowers and place a paper clip on top of the glue.  Cover that with a small circle of scrap felt.  Add glue under the edges of the felt if needed to secure it to the back of the flower.  And that's it!
