{DIY Rhinestone & Chain Earrings}

Hey, y'all!  If you've followed my blog for a while, you know I love myself a pair of inexpensive, simple DIY earrings!  Today I have another one of those tutorials for you.  I'm calling them my rhinestone and chain earrings.
To create these earrings, you will need the following supplies:
  • Two different types of chain
  • Rhinestone cup chain
  • Two "large" jump rings
  • Two small jump rings
  • Two earring hooks
  • Jewelry making tools
Begin by cutting your chain different lengths.  The longest piece I cut was 2 1/2".  The smallest piece was 1 1/2".  The other two pieces were in between those lengths.  I really just tried to make sure the pieces were of slightly different lengths.  The rhinestone cup chain I bought was already in small sections so I simply chose a piece that I thought would work well with the other lengths of chain.
Because my cup chain had a loop on each end, I used wire cutters to cut the bottom loop off.  I attached a small jump ring to the top loop of the cup chain.
I then opened the larger jump ring and threaded all the chain on the ring.  I alternated between the different types of chain, and I started with the longest length and ended with the shortest.  I put the rhinestone chain in the middle.  I then threaded on the earring hook and closed the jump ring.  I repeated all the steps for the other earring.
I love the finished look of the earrings.  They're dangly and sparkly, which is such a fun combination for earrings.
If you like these earrings, guess what?  You'll have a chance to win them and other handmade jewelry from some of my talented bloggy friends in an awesome giveaway on Friday.  Don't forget to stop back by then because you won't want to miss it!
